Disciplinary Results Refined Spaces NC, LLC - Caring Trans.Chapel Hill NCAL# 10589 (Durham, NC)
Pursuant to a Consent Order entered into between the licensee and the Board effective April 8, 2024, Refined Spaces NC, LLC (dba Caring Transitions of Chapel Hill) was assessed a civil penalty of $500.00 and received a license Suspension for a period of sixty (60) days for violations of NCGS 85B-4(a) conducting an auction while the firm's license was in Lapsed status, NCGS 85B-7.1(a) regarding settlement statement signatures, 21 NCAC 04B .0603(a) regarding custodial account use, 21 NCAC .04B .0604(g) involving buyer's premium not authorized by consigning sellers in a written auction contract, and 21 NCAC 04B .0605(a) involving licensee/licensee employees placing bids in an auction without announcing that activity to all bidders. The period of Suspension was abatable to zero (0) days if the Designated Person for the licensee took and passed the NCALB Auction Firm Examination prior to June 1, 2024. The licensee's Designated Person took and passed the NCALB Auction Firm Examination prior to June 1, 2024, and the license Suspension was abated from sixty (60) days to zero (0) days. Per the provisions of N.C.G.S. 85B, all collected civil penalties are forwarded to local school boards.
Rex Venture Group, LLC NCAL# 9401 (Lexington, NC)
Effective June 10, 2013, Rex Venture Group, LLC's auction firm license was revoked indefinitely for failing to notify the North Carolina Auctioneer Licensing Board of it's involvement in a court action (a civil suit) as required by 21 NCAC 4B .0405(b).

Pursuant to a Consent Order entered into between the licensee and the Board effective January 9, 2023, Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers (America), Inc. was assessed a Civil Penalty of $500.00 and received a Letter of Reprimand for violations of 21 NCAC 94B .0405(b) involving civil lawsuit reporting requirements. Per the provisions of N.C.G.S. 85B, all collected civil penalties are forwarded to local school boards.
Rudisill, Nolan R. NCAL# 10253 (Madison, NC)
Pursuant to a Consent Order, licensee Nolan R. Rudisill received a thirty (30) day suspension for violations of N.C.G.S. 85B-7.1(a) no signed settlement statement and 21 NCAC 04B .0604(g) regarding buyer's premium authorization. The suspension was abatable to zero (0) days suspension if Mr. Rudisill successfully completed certain educational conditions and paid a civil penalty in the amount of $750.00 prior to September 1, 2022. The conditions were met, and the suspension was fully abated on August 26, 2022. Per the provisions of N.C.G.S. 85B, all collected civil penalties are forwarded to local school boards.
Russell, Joseph Warren NCAL# 4039 (Thomasville, NC)
Effective November 23, 2011, Mr. Russell's North Carolina auctioneer license was permanently revoked for failure to properly make any disclosures or to provide documents or information required by this Chapter or by the Commmission, N.C.G.S. 85B-8(a)(10).
