How to become a Continuing Education Sponsor
Initial Continuing Education Sponsorship:
An application for Continuing Education Sponsorship must be submitted to the Board's office by mail. Upon receipt of the application and all documents required, board staff will review the request. If additional information is need, Board staff will contact the applicant. Upon receipt of all required documents, the application will be presented at a subsequent Board meeting for review and approval. If approved, staff will sent an approval letter to new sponsor.
Initial Application for Continuing Education Sponsorship
Section 21 NCAC 4B .0800 of the Rules and Regulations addresses the requirements of a sponsor. Additionally, please note 21 NCAC 4B .0806 (a) sponsors must prepare and provide to the Board reports verifying the completion of each continuing education course, including specific information relating to the course and attendees.
CE Renewal Sponsorship:
Renewal Application for Continuing Education Sponsorship
21 NCAC 04B .0809 RENEWAL OF COURSE AND SPONSOR APPROVAL Board approval of all continuing education course sponsors shall expire on the next June 30 following the date of issuance. A completed renewal application is required annually on or before April 30. The Board’s fiscal year always commences on July 1 of each year and ends on June 30 of each year. Accordingly, the sponsorship expires on June 30 of each year and must be renewed each year thereafter if one wishes to continue as a sponsor.
Board staff will send a Renewal Application for CE Sponsorship in March with a deadline date to be returned by April 30 of each year. The renewal applications will be presented at the May Board meeting. Renewal approved; a letter is sent to the sponsor.
